DOM Joins UAB Homecoming Parade
Preventive Medicine’s Sharonda Hardy and Laura Gallitz, DOM Chair Dr. Seth Landefeld, 2017 DOM Employee of the Year Paula Dixon, IM Resident Dr. Raj Vachhani, Pulmonary Assistant Professor Dr. Anand Iyer, and DOM Vice Chair for Culture and Diversity Dr. Monica Baskin.The DOM was delighted to showcase our Super Heroes at the 2017 Homecoming Parade! The #DOMobile toured the campus last Friday sharing candy and plenty of Blazer pride, setting the stage for the dramatic gridiron victory over Louisiana Tech.
MHRC YP Board Hosts Harlem in the 'Ham

Guests played games, socialized, and learned about the important work of UAB’s MHRC.
The proceeds benefit the UAB Healthy Happy Kids Program which encourages children to live healthy lifestyles that prevent childhood obesity.

Together with medical students, they helped sort produce into bags and deliver them to local low-income independent living facilities for the elderly.
7th Annual RIME Week Celebrates Medical Education
Stephen Stuart, MDResearch and Innovations in Medical Education (RIME) Week was a huge success last week. The conference, now in its seventh year, drew more than 100 faculty and fellows to workshops to enhance their med-ed skills and boasted 50 dynamic poster presentations.
German Donor Finally Meets BMT Patient

She wound up being the one person in 24 million to be the perfect match Jimmy Roberson needed to save his life. Now, almost three years after his transplant via the UAB Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program, Roberson invited Franke to visit him in the United States.
