Institutional Scholarships

Note: Newly admitted students are considered for scholarships based on their admissions application and are not required to complete a scholarship application unless otherwise noted.

There is a two-step process to be considered for the Heersink School of Medicine institutional scholarship:

Step One: Complete the Scholarship Application

Log into BSMART using your BlazerID and password to submit a scholarship application. The scholarship application consists of your student demographic information (prepopulated) and additional questions.

Step Two: Complete the Free Application Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Scholarship applicants and recipients are encouraged to provide financial information by completing the FAFSA annually. Be sure to designate UAB as the school to receive your FAFSA.
