The UAB Collat Career Closet allows our students to obtain professional attire for career fairs, networking events, internships, interviews, and other career-related occasions. It contains a variety of professional dress options that have been donated to the Career Center.

Career Closet Guidelines
- The career closet is available to use free by all UAB Collat business students.
- Depending on the inventory in the closet, students may take up to three free items or enough items to form one complete outfit (jacket, shirt/blouse, pants, etc.) from the closet per year.
- In order to take advantage of the Collat Career Closet, a student must have an updated Handshake opens a new website account, including a headshot and a current resume, and attend a career-related event either on- or off-campus. Alumni can use the closet up until one year after graduation.
- Students must request an appointment via Handshake to access the closet at least 24 hours before the event they need clothing for. Please select Collat Career Closet from the options on Handshake.

The following information on career outcomes was compiled by our Career Center based on partial and completed survey data collected from graduates in the Summer 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021 semesters. The UAB First Destination Survey is a voluntary survey that students complete beginning three weeks prior to graduation, with information collected up to six months after graduation.

Emails are generated to students using Handshake four times prior to graduation. Graduates can also respond via anonymous links in BlazerNet, on the UAB Commencement website, at recognition ceremonies, and commencement. Outreach to graduates who have not responded or indicated they are still seeking employment occurs once a month for six months after graduation. Graduates with professional degrees do not complete the survey. Data on graduates who did not respond to the survey after the six-month deadline were looked up on LinkedIn.
