UAB students interested in a career in real estate can develop their understanding of both commercial and residential real estate through a new undergraduate certificate program in the Collat School of Business.
The Real Estate Certificate opens a new website covers fundamental real estate principles with an emphasis on real estate investing and finance. Students can sit for the Alabama Real Estate Salesperson License Examination after successfully completing two of the certificate’s real estate courses.
To earn the certificate, students will take five courses that include principles of real estate, real estate finance, real estate investment analysis, professional selling, and a real estate internship.
Internships can include working with residential real estate brokers, developers, appraisers, or with one of several school in-house programs such as the HomeFirst homebuyer counseling program or the Property Advocacy program.
