Rankings for Collat's online programs. Info in text.

UAB Collat School of Business's online programs have been named among the top online programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. The publication's annual rankings were released on Tuesday, January 25.

Collat's online online graduate Management Information Systems opens a new website (MSMIS) program broke into the exclusive Top 10, moving up three spots to No. 9. It is the highest ranked MIS program in Alabama. It also was ranked by USNWR as the fifth best in the country for veterans.

Collat's online Master of Business Administration opens a new website (MBA) program jumped 20 places in the 2022 school rankings, up to No. 42. The new ranking places the program in the top 15% of all online programs.

The online Master of Accounting (MAc) program jumped 12 spots to rank No. 12 among the best online graduate business programs, non-MBA category—up from 24 last year—landing it in the top 6%.

U.S. News & World Report ranks online graduate business programs on five categories: services and technology, student engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials, and student excellence.

"We are incredibly proud of the recognition our online programs have received," said Eric P. Jack, dean of the Collat School of Business. "We have invested heavily in our online programs to make sure they are both rigorous and engaging. Our continued improvement in the rankings is not only a measure of our dedication to quality online learning, but also of our student's successful achievement in online courses."

In fact, the MSMIS program ranked No. 3 in the faculty credentials and training category, which measures how well a school prepares instructors to teach remotely. The program received a score of 95 out of 100, beating out other top-ranked schools like Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Southern California.

The MAc program ranked No. 4 in the student engagement category, which measures student satisfaction and instructor responsiveness. The program received a score of 97 out of 100.

Collat's portfolio online undergraduate online degrees ranked No. 40 in the best bachelor's in business programs category.

Collat's online degree programs accept applications from students through May 1 for summer term, August 1 for fall term and December 1 for spring term.
