About Zoom video conferencing

In partnership with the UA System, Zoom video conferencing is now available to students, faculty and staff at UAB. Zoom provides cloud video conferencing, simple online meetings, and group messaging creating a complete conference room solution. Zoom accounts are available to students, faculty and staff; however, only those hosting or scheduling meetings are required to have a Zoom account. Attendees can participate in meetings without Zoom accounts. UAB faculty will be assigned a Zoom Pro account, while staff will receive a Zoom Basic account. Zoom Basic accounts allow for 40-minute maximum length meetings.

Zoom offers the best video, audio, and wireless screen-sharing experience across all systems including Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, iOS, Android, Blackberry, Zoom Rooms and H.323/SIP room systems.
