Primary Athletics Logo
The primary athletics logo represents all official sports, departments, and units in UAB Athletics. In keeping with the institutional core-forward approach to branding, the primary athletics logo should be prioritized in all designs.
Gold has long been a signature color for UAB Athletics, and the primary athletics logo features a strong gold outline that distinguishes it from the university and UAB Medicine logos.
Usage Guidelines
Note: gray box represents a white logo on a dark-colored background.

The logo must be surrounded by clear space that is at least one half the height of the mark itself. If logo is printed larger than 3.5 inches, the clear space can change to one fourth of the height of the mark.
The logo may be reduced to favicon size (18px by 18px). In print, digital, and other use cases, the size must not be reduced below half an inch.
The logo may only appear in full-color, two-color, or one-color as shown. Full-color green with gold outline is the preferred version. When available, metallic gold is the preferred one-color gold option. Alternative colors are not permitted. The primary logo may not appear on gold backgrounds. Reverse logos may not appear on green backgrounds.
The logo may never be stretched, rotated, curved, flipped, filled with imagery, edited with visual effects, or otherwise altered in any way other than as presented in this guide.

Secondary Athletics Logo
Blaze Logo
Blaze remains high-profile identifier of UAB Athletics and is the secondary Athletics logo. Blaze is also available for use across campus as a university spirit mark. Athletics logos and branded materials follow specific retail and marketing guidance.
Note: gray box represents a white logo on a dark-colored background.
Usage Guidelines

Blaze must be surrounded by enough clear space so that other design elements are not covering or cutting off the logo.
Blaze must not be reduced below 27x23 pixels. For smaller spaces, the container Blaze Spirit Mark (see pages 63-64) may be a more compatible option.
Note: Non-athletics units are welcome to display Blaze as a spirit mark.
Blaze may only appear in full-color, two-color, and one-color as shown. Alternative one-color options may be requested and approved by the university. When displaying the full-color Blaze logo on dark backgrounds, always use the version with the white outline.
The best way to center Blaze with other graphic elements or type is to use the pupil of his eye as a guide as shown.

The mark may never be stretched, rotated, curved, flipped, filled with imagery, edited with visual effects, or otherwise altered in any way other than as presented in this guide.
