Explore UAB

UAB’s official brand colors are UAB Green (a rich, dark green) and UAB Gold (a bright gold). They are referred to in this guide as our primary colors. While both colors represent the brand, UAB Green should be emphasized. It should be the only color used in one-color designs and should be used more prominently than UAB Gold in designs that feature two or more colors.

Note: Each color breakdown has been carefully curated with UX designers and UAB Printing to produce the best visual representations of our colors in both digital and print.

Metallic Gold

Metallic gold is not a color. It is an effect that can only be created in the physical environment through using metallic ink or foil stamp in printed pieces, metallic thread in embroidery, heat press printing on fabric or with paint or metals used for physical signage.

Metallic gold is a good option for elevated materials such as foil-stamping on certificates, embroidery thread on graduation regalia, or metallic ink for formal invitations.

Metallic gold cannot be reproduced effectively in digital spaces, so we recommend UAB Gold for all digital applications.

Our recommended metallics colors are:

  • Metallic Ink for spot printing: Pantone 10123C
    • Metallic ink should only be produced on coated paper. It is not recommended for uncoated papers. If uncoated paper is desired, foil stamp is recommended.
  • Metallic foil stamp: #88 Infinity Foils
  • Embroidery thread:
