The UAB Medicine logo is central to our brand identity, uniting and defining us while building trust and credibility.
Core Logo
The core medicine logo includes the monogram paired with “Medicine” and is the preferred logo to represent UAB Medicine.
Core Logo with University Name
A secondary core logo includes the full university name, “The University of Alabama at Birmingham.” This version should be used in communications or materials where it is important to clearly associate UAB Medicine with the university—this includes pieces that may reach audiences outside of our state and region.
Core Medicine Logo Centered
A centered stacked version of the core logo is available for square or circular application areas, such as social media profile images. A stacked justified version of the core logo is available for small imprint areas only when the UAB monogram would otherwise be too small to see.

Minimum Size
The core medicine logo must never be reduced less than 90px wide, and the core medicine logo with university name must never appear less than 120px wide. The core medicine logo centered must never appear less than 50 px wide.
Placement
For printed materials such as posters and flyers, the core medicine logo should be placed at the bottom of the design. However, in certain cases—such as retractable banners—the logo may be placed at the top to enhance visibility.

In web applications, the core medicine logo should be placed at the top of the screen. Avoid placing logos at the bottom of the screen.

To maximize the logo size in tall, narrow imprint areas—such as retractable banners—the core medicine logo may be displayed vertically. The direction of the vertical logo will need to be determined on a case-by-case basis, dependent on legibility.
